The superstars that are keeping my body active and moving! I have mentioned collagen for joints before, but I also take NOW Foods Glucosamine Chondroitin with MSM.

I am a retired pro athlete and former NCAA Gymnast which is a lot of years of intense activity on my joints. However, they have felt more wear and tear from car accidents most recently. Nevertheless, I know I need to take extra good care of my joints so I can continue doing the things I love. My activities like yoga, weight training, hiking, and also so I can play with my kiddos, rock climb, ski, and scooter. Because I want to do everything I can to heal and feel good, I have added these back into my regular routine. Glucosamine, MSM, and Chondroitin combo, and for my evening recovery ZMA.

If you are not familiar with it, here are a few tidbits of how it helps your joints + anti-aging as well.

1. Glucosamine  is an essential building block of the two main components of joint tissue. They promote water retention within joints which gives joint tissues resiliency. It acts as a lubricant + a potential shock absorber.

2. Chondroitin - is normally found in many body tissues, including the articular cartilage found in joints. This has been known to promote water retention for lubrication + shock absorption.

3. MSM - has been known to help maintain numerous different types of connective tissues such as articular cartilage + skin.

4. Zinc - helps with cellular growth, tissue repair, and maintenance of a healthy immune system

5. Magnesium - is a key component for the maintenance of electrolyte balance, energy production, and normal neuromuscular function

What a winning combination for your body right? If you are like me and want to feel great throughout the entire year, you should definitely add this to your healthy living for 2022!
